The Lord Coe KBE is Patron of the Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity.
As a well-known sportsman and former Olympic athlete he was an obvious choice to spearhead an organisation named after another well-known face in sport - Helen Rollason. He was also her friend.

Most people will already know that he won two Olympic gold medals for Great Britain in the 1500 metres plus two silver medals for the 800 metres races during his athletics career.
But he gave it all up in 1990 and turned to politics to become a Conservative MP for Falmouth and Cambourne between 1992 and 1997. In 2000 he was made a Lord and in December 2005 it was announced that he
was to receive the KBE - Knight Commander of the British Empire - in the New Year's honours list.
In spite of his many sporting commitments, particularly as chairman of the successful London bid to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, he still finds time for the Charity.
He has been our Patron from the beginning and during that time he has seen the Charity open four cancer care centres and the Live Well Experience. Now many people, and their supporters, living with cancer have benefited from Helen's legacy.
